I don't see the templates

May 3, 2011 at 2:54 PM

I've installed the Guidance Automation Extension and the Layered Architecture Guidance, but i don't see the layered templates when I go to create a new project or website. I've restarted VS, and have looked through all of the templates. Do I need to do anything special to have the templates show up?

Thanks

Hi!

Under "Installed Templates" of the New Project Dialog, do you see a "Guidance Packages" category? The Layered Guidance templates should be parked under there.

Also take note, the templates are only for C#.

Thanks.

Thanks,

I was looking in online templates. It's working, great job BTW.

Hi!

I have the same problem under VS 2010 Ultimate, but I can't see the "Guidance Packages" category.

I've just the following categories: Visual C#, Other Languages, Other Project Types, Database, Modelling Projects, Test Projects.

Hi!

To get the Guidance Packages category, you need to install GAX 2010 first. :) It has been mentioned as a pre-requisite :p
